The Ten-Mile Square

Every NewVistas community begins as a ten-mile square, measured in plat miles of 6,336 feet: twelve statute miles on a side, 92,160 acres. The first community stands in the lower right quadrant; as its farms learn to use less land, a second, third and fourth follow, each in its own quadrant. Farmland is laid out on the same ten- and fifteen-acre blocks and 132-foot streets as the communities themselves.
