Implementation

The NewVistas community pattern is designed to cover the world’s population, which is expected to peak at 12 billion people in 2100. In the interim, however, the community will start with a single steward, who will at first assume all organizational roles, but primarily that of the captain, and as such, recruit the next steward. This will be part of a process that will exponentially lead to the founding of units, branches, villages, districts, and a community before growing on to create a NewVista, an area, and a world area.

While this is a community of productive enterprises, it is also a social setting where people come together to achieve economic prosperity and sustain social prosperity in harmony with the natural environment. This demands close attention to culture, the law, and other factors while maintaining the fundamental character of the NewVistas community concept.

Aspects of community growth

Each community is set up in line with a set of procedures, rules, and guidelines formulated by the NewVistas Foundation. These protocols act as an operating system that guides every aspect of the community’s growth and operations. They also allow for tailoring some aspects to better respond to local circumstances, such as geography, political environment, and culture.

Even though communities are organized into NewVistas, areas, and world areas, each is autonomous in most aspects. This is especially crucial in the growing phase of a community. Highly decentralized units held together by clear facilitative rules allow for uniformity in communities and adaptability to face and, where possible, take advantage of unique realities on the ground. It also provides flexibility in decision-making and eliminates the inefficiencies associated with highly centralized systems.

The community will not necessarily grow from one steward only. Stewards may set out to recruit others and set up communities in different parts of the world. This creates distinct communities that have been influenced by different environments. It also fuels faster growth, as many stewards, acting as captains, can recruit new stewards in different parts of the world, only guided by the NewVistas operating system and relevant requirements.

Communities that will be formed will be required to have a strong connection with the society in which they are to be set up. A strong sense of community and extensive efforts to raise awareness among the target audience will be possible only if a new community takes extra effort to connect with the people in a language they understand. Additionally, decentralization will ensure that captains, and in the future, other servants, are sufficiently empowered to serve.

Charting the growth from one steward to a world area

A steward starts a community by recruiting other stewards, who provisionally join by signing a lease agreement for an apartment, equipment, and other assets needed to live and run a business in a NewVistas community. they also contribute their assets, whose title is transferred to the community and specciifically, agencies 7, 8, and 9.

The first physical sign of a community’s establishment is the setting up of a NewVistas apartment building that can house 100 people and its mirror, which is used as an industrial block, hosting factories, storage facilities, or controlled environment agricultural operations.

To construct these buildings, the community, at that time comprising 40 stewards and their dependents, takes a commercial loan on the strength of the assets it possesses and the revenue expected from the apartment building. In addition, other loans can be taken to procure assets such as equipment and inventory, with the expected cash flows from these assets being used to justify and support the loans.

Initially, apartment buildings and their mirrors are not established in the same place, due to constraints on securing the necessary space. Instead, the community will look for empty lots or run-down buildings, which it converts into lots for what it needs. This is because the NewVistas communities do not intend to build new cities in open country or cropland, but to replace towns with superior ways of living and working.

The first 40 stewards, alongside their dependents, form four units of 10 stewards and their dependents, so that each unit has around 25 people. A unit occupies a floor in the apartment building. Each building has 5 floors -one, the podium floor, is used as commercial space, while the other four levels are residential.

Captains continually recruit new stewards, assisted by other stewards, especially at the initial stages. New stewards form new units, and on clocking 40 members, likewise have an apartment building and its mirror put up.

Captains rely on various tools to get their message across and attract people to join in. They conduct various outreach programs within their circles and beyond, recruiting people from diverse backgrounds and demographics. They will also rely on technological tools – the NewVistas operating system being a powerful tool to have potential participants study the community system and help alert recruiters on prospects.

In an apartment building, there is a captain from each of the four major demographic groups – partnered males (A), partnered females (B), single males (C), and single females (D). The four captains form a branch presidency of four.

While an apartment is designed to comfortably hold 100 people, it has 32 apartment modules, each of which includes a bed-bath module and a living space. Potentially, therefore, an apartment building can hold as many as 128 people. This will likely be the case in many instances during the growth stage, when some stewards are recruited into the community and await the building of their apartment building.

10 branches form a village. Consequently, the burgeoning community starts the process of setting up a village council consisting of three presidencies, each with 4 presidents. Each of the 3 presidencies serves a specific agency in the Village Bureau: agency 1, agency 2, and agency 3.

Of these, there are various community public servants, 10 branch presidencies of 4 presidents in each village, totaling 40 branch presidents (captains) per village, and 160 in the district. There are also 12 village presidents and 12 district presidents, among other presidencies, being set up to serve participants in all agencies’ functions. In total, there are 200 public servants.

This video depicts the assembly of a community multipurpose building. Transforming technology allows this building’s interior space to quickly, automatically reconfigure for numerous community uses around the clock.

Over time, various agencies are operationalized. The first agencies to form are those in the Village Bureau (1, 2, and 3), Storehouse (7, 8, and 9), and Origination Bureau (19, 20, and 21).

Over time and growth, 50 communities are formed. The grouping of 50 communities is known as a NewVista. There is extensive collaboration between the 50 communities, though each community is autonomous. Inter-community infrastructure, for example, is handled jointly. Various councils of 50, comprised of agency presidencies from each community, handle most aspects of this collaboration.

Through the same growth approach, other NewVistas grow, starting at the unit level, until 5 NewVistas, or 250 communities, are formed. This grouping is known as an area and is served by the seventies presidencies. 40 such areas form a world area presidency, which serves around 1 billion people.

As discussed earlier, communities are likely to grow spontaneously in different places as the NewVistas idea catches on. Area seventies and world area presidencies play an important role in guiding the growth of these communities to make sure they are set up properly and can make recommendations on whether to split, dissolve, or merge communities based on available growth and performance data.

In summary, the community system is organized as follows:

ItemDetail Number of stewards
StewardThe core building block of the community, a steward has signed apartment and equipment lease agreements with the community, and has contributed their assets to the community, in return for a “deed and covenant that cannot be broken.” The community receives and unifies all asset titles into “institutional corpus.”                                1
UnitA unit will have between 8 and 16 stewards during the community setup phase. Subsequently, it will have between 8 and 12 stewards along with their dependents, served by a captain 8 – 16 during growth, thereafter 8 – 12
BranchA branch consists of 4 units. Each unit is diverse, but in total, a branch has a near-equal number of partnered males (A), partnered females (B), single females (C), and single males (D). Each is represented in all presidencies, including the branch presidency  32 – 40
Village10 branches a village, served by a village council composed of 3 presidencies that perform the functions of agencies in the Village Bureau 320 – 400
DistrictA district is formed by 4 villages. It is served by a district council of 3 presidencies that perform the duties of agencies in the District Bureau. Each district has a district building when fully formed. The district building also houses other community public servants, including a specific agency presidency 1300 – 1600
CommunityThe community is formed by 24 districts. Additionally, there are 24 agencies serving agencies in various functions, including business development, asset leasing, and banking, among others                    100,000
NewVistaA NewVista is composed of 50 communities. The communities collaborate on common interests, such as transport infrastructure and utilities, through the coordination of Councils of 50                 5,000,000
Area250 communities are served by a seventies (area presidency)  who selects trustees who serve in each of the communities               25,000,000
World AreaApproximately 40 areas make up a world area. Each world area has around 1 billion people and is served by a world area presidency          1,000,000,000

The Big Picture

Instead of change through piecemeal, uncoordinated efforts, the DNA-style NewVistas pattern enables human civilization to completely reset how it occupies land, consumes resources, handles waste, and applies engineering, technological, economic, organizational, and social advances.

This comprehensive community pattern will allow us to fully integrate all community aspects into one cohesive whole, with the latest blockchain, artificial intelligence, machine-learning, cloud, and algorithm technologies embedded into energy, transportation, agriculture, education, finance, housing, and all other systems serving a community.

In summary, the NewVistas pattern provides an essential matrix for synergizing human science and technology in a manner that can replace humanity’s past and current errors of infrastructure, organization, and economics, so more people can enjoy more health and prosperity.
